Editorial and trust policy

How we create and review our information

Our editorial system is designed for a high-trust financial topic. We prefer primary sources, show review dates and separate facts from recommendations.

Reviewed 2 November 2026General information, not debt advice

Primary sources first

For legal, regulatory and eligibility information we prioritise GOV.UK, the Insolvency Service, FCA, MoneyHelper, ICO and other authoritative public sources. Commercial websites may be used for market context but are not treated as proof of regulatory requirements.

Plain-English interpretation

We summarise complex rules, but we do not present a summary as personalised advice. Where a threshold or requirement matters, we link to the primary source so readers can verify it.

Review dates

Substantive pages show when they were last reviewed. Material regulatory changes should trigger an earlier review.

No manufactured expertise

We do not invent author biographies, qualifications or professional reviewers. Where professional review is added in future, the reviewer and credentials will be identified accurately.

How technology is used

Technology, including AI-assisted research and drafting, may be used to help organise, compare and maintain information. Material factual claims on regulated or legal topics are checked against the cited primary sources before publication. Technology does not replace the need for a regulated adviser where personalised debt advice is required.

Corrections

If you believe a page is inaccurate or outdated, email info@maivero.com and include the page address and the point you believe needs correction.

Commercial independence

Any future commercial relationship must be disclosed. Commercial arrangements must not change the factual result of our browser-based tools or cause us to hide free debt advice routes.
